Mount Rainier National Park Adventure Engagement Session

Those of you who know me, know that i’m a Pacific Northwest girly through and through – everything about the pacific northwest region gives me life and speaks to my soul; the rain and trees included. Which is precisely why A + J’s couple’s portraits in the woods of Mount Rainier in Paradise, WA and at the bay in Lacey, WA were absolutely perfect. I couldn’t go another day + not share these beautiful images.

Anabelle + Jonah’s Mt. Rainier + Bayside Couple’s Session

Anabelle + Jonah are a sweet couple based out of Seattle, WA. They eloped shortly after their engagement in 2022 and hired me to shoot their dream wedding weekend at the Thornewood Castle in Lacey, WA. To start off our time together, A + J picked up my second shooter, Sydney + I up from the airport around 10am and we had a quiet breakfast in the downtown Seattle area before we got ready to head to their afternoon session. We drove up to Paradise, WA, which was two hours away for some gorgeous engagement photos at Mount Rainier National Park; stopping along the way to explore a local park + capture some gorgeous b-roll shots to really set the tone for our evening together.

Once we were finished, we completed our journey up to Mount Rainier National Park and grabbed some dreamy shots just as it started to rain. It of course is never ideal to get out in the rain, but I’m actually so grateful for it because it gave this sweet couple some gorgeous photos + memories they will never ever forget! As your expert Washington elopement photographer, I take the rain in stride.

The fog at the top of the mountain was a little too thick for us to see through, so we ended the night with a few dusk portraits +. planned for another sunrise session at the Bay in Lacey, WA.

Our morning started around six + after a small hike, we got to watch the sun come up over the water and capture some more sweet memories for these beautiful humans!
