One of my absolute favorite parts of being a South Carolina Elopement & Lifestyle Photographer, is that the art of noticing has to be ever-present and at the center of our time together, always. It’s something that I consider to be the bread + butter of my business – noticing what the average person does not. Because yes, you want to look back and remember the big stuff, of course. But, the small, the intimate, the detail – that matters too, sometimes it matters more than all the big things combined. The human experience is vast and unique because it is different for every individual – we feel different emotions, different sensations, have different struggles, love different movies and music, etc. That’s why I love my job so much and it’s why I value time with my clients, value it even more when clients turn into friends. The details matter and I’m so glad that they do! Here are a few of the gorgeous details that Lauren + Tyler’s coffee date had to offer.
Lauren + Tyler have been sweet friends for a good few years now, I actually got to shoot Lauren’s headshots when she was first starting out and was so excited when they agreed to model for me so I could try out my new camera gear. We settled on one of the most special spots in the downtown Greenville area – Methodical Coffee. Methodical is a staple if you’re a South Carolinian. They have some of the best Matcha in all of the Upstate and have ventured out to open several locations in the area. Apart from the magnificent coffee and baked goods, Methodical is known for it’s gorgeous interiors (a few shots display it above) and the absolute perfect vibes for whatever your day looks like. The inside of the coffee shop feels like the perfect mix of trendy, home, and eclectic.
Fun fact: Methodical used to be my old stomping grounds when I was a baby photographer. It used to be THE place to be (still is) and provided a great workspace for a work from home girlie like me. Even though I’m more of a home office girl now, I still love to venture out to this sweet spot so naturally this was a dream session for me!
One thing you should know about Lauren + Tyler is that they are some of the most down to earth people on the planet. When I sent their questionnaire and we were planning this session, Lauren was adamant that they truly just had fun doing whatever as long as they were together and I absolutely have to say this is so true. They had a blast, we laughed, joked, and they forgot how to play every card game except go-fish (haha)! It was the best, easiest way to celebrate them on a cozy saturday morning and I truly love them dearly. These are a couple of my favorites of Lauren + Tyler!
